Euphonic Community Update

Cats: Euphonic, Releases| No Comments »

Are you reading this correctly? Is this actually a newsletter update from the Euphonic Sound community? It may be hard to believe, since it’s been such a long time, but this is indeed an update from Toronto’s best indie recording studio. Let’s cut right down to business shall we?

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

A year ago, we had a team of 9 talented people fulfilling the services included with our ground breaking Studio 2.0 program. Today, we’re looking at close to 25 amazing folks passionately delivering the Studio 2.0 goods.

Because of the unprecedented growth in the Euphonic Sound Community we are reaching out to students and recent grads to come on board the Euphonic Sound team. We are offering intense hands on internships in the areas listed below.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a challenging, hands on and organized learning experience, email us for information!

Internship Positions:

Audio Engineer

Graphic Designer

Videographer

Music Business Planning

Web Designer

On the audio side of Euphonic Sound, we’ve just wrapped up Folk artist Andrea Gauster’s first full length LP called “We’re Not Lost” under the Studio 2.0 program. For all of you folk fans out there, this album will blow your socks off. The rhythmic and melodic arrangements by producer James Pew, Andrea and percussionist Adam Campbell are out of this world. The organic sound attained is one of the best to come out of Euphonic Sound, and the whole team agrees. Check out more on wrapping up the album (in only 2 weeks!!!) right here.

Studio 2.0 Artist Detch Jennings is gearing up to release “Letters Home,” his debut EP. Produced by Detch Jennings and Euphonic Sound’s Shawn Daley, his music is a mashup of easy listening acoustic with an alternative rock edge, with a focus on melody and harmonic content. Music this melodic might even be illegal in some countries.

Hip Hop artist TroNic is wrapping up his first Studio 2.0 as well, entitled “The Unfinished Robot”. It’s been a long time coming, but here we are. Since TroNic wisely chose Studio 2.0, all of the artwork, web design, social network integration, business and marketing plans, logo, merch design, tracking, editing, mixing, mastering and beat design were developed in-house by our amazing team (along with a plethora of other fantastic percs, including a music video… check it out!).

Hip Hop artist Chadwick is also recording under the Studio 2.0 program, and you can expect his EP to drop within the next month, with plenty of opportunities to grab yourself some free copies and swag . Even better – Chadwick has already begun conceptualizing his next project. Expect details (and guest appearances) at his EP release show, to be announced.

Chadwick and TroNic know how powerful collaboration is, and that it gets things done. We teach all artists we work with the value of teamwork and the enjoyment / learning that can come out of collaboration. These guys have it down to a science. Check out the track “Northstar” here.

Studio 2.0 artist Truth is gearing up for his upcoming 3P (a 3 song EP) entitled “Moment Of Truth”. We know this guys can sing… but man can he ever dance.

Upcoming Studio 2.0 Artists:

Mustiboy – Nigerian hip hop at it’s finest. Mustiboy is still in high school, meaning a large amount of promotion geared towards youth oriented positive hip hop.

Marsonist – A hip hop artist who’s political lyrics and storytelling are unrivaled in Toronto’s hip hop community.

Dennis Mouck – Folk artist currently being produced by James Pew. Preproduction is underway.

Andrea Gauster’s “We’re Not Lost” is being released under our label Broken Window Records. We want to change the face of labels using Broken Window Records and Studio 2.0. Here’s how:

Artists recording consecutive Studio 2.0 projects will have access to the Broken Window Records team of graphic designers, web designers, videographers, and music marketers during the period in-between the consecutive Studio 2.0 packages. This allows us to help the artist grow, and assist in marketing the album / assisting with design needs while the artist focuses on post release tasks, such as touring (as in Andrea Gausters’ case). The development and content production for an independent artist is ongoing, and Broken Window Records is dedicated to helping artists who are passionate enough to take their music seriously with Studio 2.0

Studio 2.0 still remains the number one focus for Euphonic Sound. For those who don’t know, Studio 2.0 is a turnkey approach to producing, managing, promoting, and monetizing a band or solo artist. For anyone interested in Studio 2.0 take the Studio 2.0 artist assessment survey and receive a free consultation and action plan from the Euphonic Team.

The best thing about Studio 2.0 is the results. With Studio 2.0 artists nominated for Toronto Independent Music Awards, the results are clear as day. With high class production values, Studio 2.0 artists’ songs are making the indie & mainstream radio circuits around Canada. Pricing is structured specifically for an indie musician (flexible payment model too!), and more specifically, structured towards your budget.

Sound interesting? Contact us for the full Studio 2.0 treatment.

Whattup? Companera Emma here!

This past Thursday night the Euphonic Crew wrapped up the summer of Andrea Gauster at her CD release show at Supermarket in Kensington Market. cdregroup

We are all smiles because the show was fantastic. She played an amazing set, accompanied by Adam Campbell and our very own Shawn Daley on the bass.
The set design was done by companaros Jenna Wood and Sean Sirianni, they may not have slept for days to finish it, but the work definitely payed off, it all looked amazing. Not only did she premier the “By You” music video, (done by yours truly), but Sean filmed the video for “Knee Deep” during the show! We will let you know when it is finished! We also got to see the final making of documentary, also done by Mr. Sirianni. As the main man James Pew said, “It was the perfect evening”. Check out the documentary below!

Don’t forget to check out Andrea’s website, and check out the full album “We’re Not Lost” available on itunes for download!

Guest Appearance at United In Flow – Final Five Live Audition Day

Cats: Euphonic| 1 Comment »

Greetings fellow Companeros,

Shawn here, with an update on the previous United In Flow Final Five Live Open Audition Day.

We had artists from all over the GTA come by Euphonic Sound to audition for United In Flow, our charity event on October 21st celebrating the culture of Hip Hop. All proceeds raised go to UNITY Charity, and suffice to say, it’s going to be a blast.

The day was filled with pleasant surprises. One surprise was, in fact, so pleasant, that it had to be posted for everyone’s viewing enjoyment.

Here’s the scene – 4 or 5 artists were standing at the top of the stairwell at Euphonic Sound, showing some rhymes and having a blast, when out of nowhere they’re “interrupted” by… well.. just check out the video, you’ll see for yourself.

Pretty sweet eh? That was Wayne Cudney, the “undisputed world champion of good times”, and you can see exactly why he’s earned that title. Good stuff!

The final United In Flow pics (to perform at the live event on October 21st and the appear on the United In Flow mixtape) will be chosen by tomorrow, check the United In Flow website for more info!

Teaming up to complete an album at Euphonic Sound

Cats: Euphonic, Releases| 2 Comments »

Album Front

Companero Shawn here,

Over the last few weeks, we’ve had Andrea Gauster back in the studio to record the follow up to her first EP “Reverie.” The new 10 song LP is called “We’re Not Lost,” and is the result of Andrea’s second Studio 2.0 package. Now, if you don’t know what Studio 2.0 is, and you are a recording artist, you’ll probably want to click here.

Recording a folk album is always an adventure like no other, and this adventure saw the entire Euphonic Sound team come together with unstoppable momentum, much like the Juggernaut. James Pew produced the album head to toe, Freddy Gabrsek (THE mastering engineer) rocked the accordion and provided mastering, while I took care of the bass playing. Sounds fairly simplistic, until you learn that the entire Studio 2.0 had to be completed over a one month period…. yup. Teamwork at it’s finest.

When I say teamwork, I don’t just mean on the audio side either. We had Jenna, Emma, Guillermo and Goldwin working at an unbelievable pace on graphics, album art, and website design. All of the album art was developed in the studio by the team, and the logos were constructed by the designers. Jenna arranged the album artwork, readying it for printing in only a matter of days, which blew our minds, while Emma took care of the wicked photography. Guillermo and Goldwin contributed to the artwork as well, and did a fantastic job.

Anwen and Roman are currently placing calls and sending emails to various media outlets around Canada to help promote Andrea’s current East Coast tour, and the results they have been attaining are amazing. Radio interviews, magazine write-ups, and more. Andrea’s tour info can be found right here.

Emma took care of the soon-to-be-released music video for Andrea’s first single, “By You.” Again, it was completed in only a number of days, and it looks / sounds just amazing. Not only that, but the video shoot was done in High Park here in Toronto with a ton of awesome people volunteering to be in it.

The website, which you can see here, was created by Jenna as well, and in record time. Check it out!

Lastly companero Sean Siriani produced a mini documentary of the making of “We’re Not Lost,” called “Andrea Gauster In The Studio,” which you can see on the Euphonic Sound Youtube Channel.

The Euphonic Sound team pulled off a 6 month Studio 2.0 project in a matter of 1 month. Congrats to everyone involved! You can check out Andrea Gauster at the links below!
